Wild Goose Chase

Lately I've been soaking up everything I can about the Holy Spirit, I've read Forgotten God, and have always Loved Mark Batterson, and was super excited to see a book on my subject of choice right now...after receiving this book digitally I ate it up and read each night...there was a lot to absorb, and although I read through it quickly many of the truths in the book still resonate in my mind.  Thank you for providing this as a preview...

Here Burns My Candle

It's amazing, I traveled the world with Liz Curtis Higgs, and to be able to sit down and read a book God inspired her to write was an honor.  I could hear the characters and imagine how they would play out in the mind of the author herself.  Digging deep into the knowledge of Ruth and who she was as a human being, and seeing her transformed into a time beyond the Bible brought more than just Ruth to life, but many of the characters we know and love...we are just like the David's, Moses', and others...why do we fear them or put them up on a platform or in the pit?  We are them...Higgs does an amazing job of bringing this to life in "Here Burns My Candle.

Grace and Loss

This year I have experienced more loss than anyone should know...with a broken heart I opened the pages of Lucado's book to find a new inspiration.  God does not forget or turn a blind eye but rather waits for us to rush to Him.  Grace is about love.  It was creatures in the midst of our rejection of Him!  What more could we ask for?

Beneath the Night Tree Review

As a mother with a young child this book pulled me in, the way the story and characters left me wanting more, even after the book was completed.  I didn't even know it was the end of a trilogy until I went to write a review.  This book can definitely stand alone, and can't wait to read the first two of the series.

Tyndale House Publishers provided a free copy of this book for my review.

25,000 Mornings Book Review

Having this on my ipad in digital form was the way to go, Fay Rowe's Book 25,000 Mornings is a devotional I can do on the road. I say this as I enjoy more of a scriptural thread, and most of her devotions are story based with a scripture to read at the end. However because it is on my ipad I can use this as my devotional back up in case I am running late for work, oversleep, or forget my journal in the other room and too tired to grab it....I get insight and can still continue my journey with God, without the guilt of being selfishly human at times...Rowe has a way with words and real life...even the fact that the book does not have the days numbered or dates helps to be able to open the book without guilt.

Heaven is for real...no kidding!

I had to request this book as every friend I know has already read it....when going out to dinner or having coffee we would end us talking about this book, and it would bring each one of them to tears and laughter at the same time....I now have this book, have read it, and can only say the same things my friends have said from day one. READ THIS BOOK....if you have ever had to face grief head on, this is a book that can lead you down a path to healing.

Nick of Time

I wish I would of known ahead of time that Nick of Time was in the middle of a series, I will most definitely be going back and reading the other books....I can't wait....What others have said about this book are absolutely true...you will LOL, you will scratch your head, and you will have your investigating antennas up....Tim Downs is creative and a true artist when it comes to plot twists. Thank you!

Max on Life

With my husband a Seminary Grad, and I myself finishing up my Master's in Counseling, Max Lucado is an author whose books grace our shelves....however I have only read 2 all the way through, I saw this one and instantly wanted to dig in....I was craving tools I can use in my counseling that are practical, reliable, and Biblical based. Lucado does just this. Although most everything in this topical chapter booked are things I have already contemplated and addressed in my own Christian walk, Lucado pulls them together, and make concise and educational conversation on these topics....it will be a resource I will use continuously in the future when I find myself without words...

Andy Andrew's - Final Summit

I have not read the first book in this particular Andy Andrews series, the Traveler's Gift, but I heard it would not be an issue. This did prove true, the first few chapters lead you through the story line and catch one up to speed. Normally I would not read a book like this. Although I'm fascinated by history and love learning new things I am not a history buff. I also am a person who loves a great plot that one never knows what is coming next. This book was very predictable and at times repetitive...there we times I wondered if I were reading what I had read the night before by accident. I would recommend this for someone who likes a quick read, and has some time to ponder after on what they have read.

I did receive this book for free in order to review by booksneeze, and am receiving no financial gain.

Bad Girls of the Bible Review

I love Liz Curtis Higgs! I have been honored to personally spend some time with her, and I can say that her writing is not only intelligently written and theologically sound, but it shows the true spirit of who Liz is and the humor she pours from her. God has blessed her with an amazing perspective on life. Thank you Liz for showing us how to be a true woman of God no matter how bad we may feel....God created women for a reason, the Good, Bad, and the Ugly, all can be used for His good and perfect will....This is a MUST READ!

Of course the Hurt Runs deep..

This is a good book for someone who is beyond...the first stage of hurt. I have been in a hurt that feels so deep you never know if you will breath again. I think if I read this book I would want to throw it out the window, but now being past the rawness of the pain this book was amazing to help continue the healing. To move forward instead of dwelling in the past.

I would defiantly recommend this book, but for those who are not on the cliff of the desperate moment.

I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review. All views are my own.
